Sales Engineer

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to qualify leads, develop market share and increase sales for an assigned territory. Associate Sales Engineer

Job Description
We are seeking an outgoing and productive individual who can generate qualified leads via telephone and email by determining prospective customer needs, discuss, develop and process transactional business, as well as answer basic customer inquiries. This position also involves providing administrative and market research support as required by Management. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and meet individual goals, deadlines, and should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. The primary focus is to support the Sales organization in an administrative capacity and to make initial contact with prospects. This position is not responsible for closing sales or attaining a revenue quota, but in generating leads in a timely, efficient and effective manner.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively prospect for sales leads via phone and email to determine prospective customer needs with ADL Embedded Solutions products and/or services.
  • Transfer leads to the Sales Engineer assigned to the appropriate region within 24-business hours.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data entry into company database, process entry of orders, and maintain reports defined by Management.
  • Provide administrative support including market research.
  • Convey basic product information and company features to prospects.
  • Demonstrate basic and increasing knowledge of the embedded computer industry as well as ADL products and services providing responsive, accurate and high quality information to prospects.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency with MS CRM software suite within 30 days of initial training.
  • Must possess the ability to meet or exceed individual goals set by ADL Management.

Qualifications

  • AS degree or technical education.
  • 1-3 years B2B sales experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience and/or working knowledge of computer hardware.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills a must.
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Must be highly motivated, detail oriented and organized.

Electronic Technician

Job Description
Under the direction of the production team leader, this position will be responsible for diagnostic testing of CPU boards under Windows, DOS and Linux environments, BIOS upgrades, solder modifications of connectors and components per engineering/customer specification. The ideal candidate will be a team player that is self-motivated, detailed-oriented, disciplined, and responsible and have a minimum of 2 years hands-on soldering experience. Please do not apply if you do not have strong soldering expertise.

  • Working knowledge of IPC-610 Specification and workmanship criteria
  • Previous experience working in assembly or as a technician repairing electronic products..
  • Must have strong soldering skills including SMT components.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend motherboard user manuals and schematics.
  • Must have working knowledge with DOS, Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Strong CPU architecture knowledge a plus.
  • Knowledge of extended temperature chamber testing a plus.

Education

  • Associates Degree in Electronics or Equivalent.
  • IPC-610 Certification a plus.
