Active RFID Tracking System maker RF*IDI uses Advanced Digital Logic's MPC-40A as a key component in their SmartReader architecture
The MCP-40A serves as an unattended, wireless internet-connected computing platform for RF*IDI-developed software that filters and translates active RFID reader data into a customized local database tailored to a client's business model.
The combination of the MPC-40A and an active RFID reader (collectively, a SmartReader) greatly reduces bandwidth requirements to acquire near real-time container / asset tracking data.
At 15 minute intervals, data is relayed to a global database with a web application front end that enables the client to see the status of containers & assets at their desk from anywhere in the internet-connected world. The only infrastructure requirements on-site are wireless internet access (802.11b) for the MPC-40A and 120VAC.
